Yo!! In this solo episode, I talk a bit about going into The Hospital as someone who has effectively sworn off modern healthcare treatment. It was gnarly. Then I talk a bit about Ivan Illich, a guy who has a pretty robust critique of Modernity and its Institutions; including Education, Healthcare, Tranportation/Infrastructure, and Media/Communication. I then talk about where Illich fails and how he leaves himself open to Reactionary politics, and I offer my suggestion on how to preserve his critique while shifting to an even more structural view and seeing how Capital achieves a Radical Monopoly and is the source of Counterproductivity rather than the Institutions and Tools themselves having some essential manipulative qualities.
